October 11, 2007
I don’t know what kind of plants these are (please leave a comment if you know), but I love taking photos of them as they are such an interesting photographic subject.

Hi Michelle!
Thanks for dropping me a line and your kind words.
I’m so glad you made me aware of your wonderful blog. Its so very good to have a Christchurch daily photo! I’ll be a regular visitor from now on!
PS
I call these cabbages, and yes they are so very photogenic. Wonderful shot!
Cheers!
i don’t know what is it either, but it’s beautiful green
beautiful flowers indeed ,.. but i dont know the name as well and this is the first time i saw one
thanks for sharing
they look like cabbages or lettuces to me but they certainly don’t look anything like the ones our local greengrocers supply so could well be something quite different.
cool photo
It looks like Sempervivum arachnoideum. Sedum looks also like your plant. I am sure it is in the family Crassulaceae. You can goggle these funny names and find one exactly like the plant in the picture.
JNS, I think you cracked it, definitely looks like Sedum and it’s a succulent.
