Water sculpture – Christchurch Botanic Gardens

This is just part of the sculpture.  I’ve tried to photograph it a number of times and I’m never quite happy with the result.  Guess it’s hard due to the darkness of the sculpture and the water combined making lighting difficult.

It’s now become a habit to check your photos each day… As I am a fan of South Island landscapes… I particularly like your ‘wind gusts’ image. Great stuff!

Have you thought of a time exposure to “flatten” the water surface? And a bit of fill flash?

Spooky … in fact it’s quite disturbing … what is the sculpture supposed to depict ?

Not sure what it represents, I had wondered if it was something to do with justice (being blind). I may go back soon to have another look!
