About Christchurch
Christchurch is the largest city in New Zealand's South Island. It lies on the Canterbury Plains with views of the mountain range called the Southern Alps. Though flat the city also has hill suburbs nestled in what are called the 'Port Hills'. The total population is around 338,748. That’s a stunning picture - so simple and stark, and what a gorgeous sky!
The sculpture would be around 3 feet high I think…and is on a stand that is probably 10 feet high.. The exhibit is one of my favourite photographic subjects at the moment, but I keep going there when the light is wrong (I need to go very early morning).
