About Christchurch
Christchurch is the largest city in New Zealand's South Island. It lies on the Canterbury Plains with views of the mountain range called the Southern Alps. Though flat the city also has hill suburbs nestled in what are called the 'Port Hills'. The total population is around 338,748.
