Xero Mural by Jacob Yikes

You can see this new mural by Jacob Yikes from Cathedral Square and Armagh Street. It was commissioned by Xero the accounting software system developed here in New Zealand. Watch the video below from Xero to learn more about the art work and the symbolism of the precarious chairs.

New Mural on UniMed Building on Manchester Street

This new work of street art recently appeared on the UniMed building which is located on the corner of Manchester and Gloucester Streets. The artwork is by professional graffiti artist Wongi Wilson. It’s nice to see these murals going onto new buildings.

Bridge Art in Sydenham

I was driving along Colombo Street today towards Sydenham, when these bright panels grabbed my attention (they’re fixed onto the bridge). They are very clever, as when you move, you see it’s not just coloured strips!

I was in Sydenham today and discovered rather a lot of new street art on several walls. Some awesome work here by various artists.

The changing face of The Brae

The Brae is a street in Mt Pleasant that goes down to the estuary. There used to be houses all over this hill but as you can see they’ve been demolished. The digger is looking a bit precarious!
