Christchurch Daily Photo

I took a lot of photos of Sumner Beach at dusk today, I should have had my tripod with me, and I pushed the camera a bit too far… but it didn’t do too badly. Except the brown spot in the middle of this photo is not distinguishable as a dog! But for some reason I really like the photo from all of the ones I took. Guess it’s because they are a little moody and stand out for me from the sunset photos I took (and I took a lot of them). If there is a photographers anonymous for snap addicts, I should probably sign up!

And here’s one of those sunset shots with shag (ed) rock – it’s not what it used to be.

A lovely sunset. It was 25 degrees in Christchurch today – but I was in Hanmer for most of the day where it still got to about 22. Great weather for this time of the year, that’s for sure.

The mountains tonight as the sun was setting. We had a norwester wind today, which usually gives us interesting sunsets at night. No rain or thunder or lightening today!

A beautiful day today – 20 degrees (not bad for winter!). My partner and I took full advantage of the afternoon and went for a big walk up the hills and then down into Sumner in time for dusk.

A cellphone snap of the sky tonight at Eastgate Mall in Linwood. At the top you can just make out the moon. If you click on the image it will enlarge and the moon gets a little bit bigger.

I was not there to get a burger – was doing my grocery shop, and was quite surprised at how many people were going into the drive-through. Clearly Monday night cooking sucks for a lot of people.
