Here in Auckland, we have Western Springs. In 2000, whilst we were still living in Singapore, we came back with our kids for a holiday. We stayed at the Top Ten’s family park. In most parks, there were ducks, and my city slicker kids fed the ducks. My English master taught me (seventy years ago) to write cygnet, from greek kyknos and latin cycnus. Was he right ? Or am I in a state of senile decay ? Help me !
