A darling little sea bird

seabird

What a darling face! This bird was captured at the Avon Heathcote Estuary. Now I don’t know my birds well at all, but I think this might be a tern.  But I could be wrong! If you know what it is, please leave a comment. Birds are creeping into this blog all over the place and I am in serious danger of becomming a bird watcher!

It is amazing that the little bird is perched right at the tip of the rock. I don’t know the name either. At Walker park, there are a lot of terns, but before I got near to them, they flew away. Like you, I just like birds, not quite a bird watcher.

  • Really nice photo. I know most birds here in England and would say tern is a pretty good guess.

Not sure what kind of bird that is but it’s a great shot! 🙂
