Estuary Evening Series

Tonight I drove to the Estuary (on the way to Sumner) with the intention of photographing a jetty. But I got sidetracked by the light opposite the mobile service station at Ferrymead. I did eventually get to the jetty but it was too dark, so I focused on the car lights coming across the causeway and the street lights along the shoreline. It was only 9 degrees celcius but I become just a little too obsessed with taking these pics and trying out different camera settings. It’s also amazing what you can still photograph at night when you have a tripod with you.

  • Tripod makes all the difference in low light. You have got some really nice pics, with or without the jetty.

That is quite a collection of photographs! The water looks both placid and serene. Happy that you had a good time while experimenting!
