Spotted down one of the lanes off Lichfield.  A timely reminder to dream.

But it has been a tough year or so for a lot of people, especially some of my good friends. Money always seems to be at the root of so many problems thanks to this economic crisis. It’s no wonder that when people dream big they often dream of what they’d do after winning the lottery. That would be wonderful, but not entirely realistic. I have much simpler dreams… right now I’m dreaming about moving away from noisy neighbours! Avoiding junk food, and getting really fit and healthy. I’ve never wanted to be rich, just financially secure (whatever that might be). When I was about 11 or 12 one of my favourite songs was by ELO (electric light orchestra) – hold on tight to your dreams. So if your dreams seem to be getting a little further and further away lately, then this is for you.

Hold on tight to your dream
Hold on tight to your dream
When you see your ship go sailing
When you feel your heart is breaking
Hold on tight to your dream.

It’s a long time to be gone
Time just rolls on and on
When you need a shoulder to cry on
When you get so sick of trying
Just hold tight to your dream

When you get so down that you can’t get up
And you want so much but you’re all out of luck
When you’re so downhearted and misunderstood
Just over and over and over you could

Accroches-toi à ton rêve
Accroches-toi à ton rêve
Quand tu vois ton bateau partir
Quand tu sens ton coeur se briser
Accroches-toi à ton rêve.

Hold on tight to your dream
Hold on tight to your dream
When you see the shadows falling
When you hear that cold wind calling
Hold on tight to your dream.

Oh, yeah
Hold on tight to your dream
Yeah, hold on tight…
To your dream.

Neat photo, Michelle – textural and focus-wise.
Beyone that, I love the sentiment – should be on everyone’s New Year’s list of things to do.
If I were but PM …
    Dreams are important!
