Castle Hill Canterbury

These are the limestone rock formations at Castle Hill, which is about 1.5 hours West of Christchurch (on the way to the west coast). My photo club spent part of yesterday and today at the rocks taking lots of photos. It’s a stunning place to be.

It looks almost surreal doesn’t it? Such an incredible landscape with the green green grass, the mountains and the rocks.

Did you know that the limestone used in ChristChurch Cathedral at Cathedral Square came from the Castle Rock formation? Beautiful area, and a great place for bouldering too!
