I suspect they are laying their eggs (if that’s what they do!). So expect we will have some monarch caterpillars arriving soon. Michelle says: October 12, 2012 at 8:50 am Hi Paul, I think the Monarch made it as far south as Christchurch – but not much further. I grew up a lot further south and don’t remember them as a kid. But is seems that most Cantabrians have memories of swan plants at school.
