A Photo a Day of Christchurch New Zealand

Victoria Square Late Evening

DSC01334

I went into Victoria Square about 7.30pm this evening to take photos with my photo club. It’s a surreal place to be at any time of the day now, but particularly surreal on a Sunday evening.

The intersection of Colombo and Armagh – large demo trucks are parked all along here.

Not sure of the fate of the building that had the National Bank in it. I’ve always really liked it and sincerely hope it can stay. I’m not sure if the Forsyth Barr building (the large one to the left) is staying or not.

The old National Bank building is staying, thank goodness.

Oh that’s excellent to hear. Such an attractive and neat old building.

In the Town Hall photo, I’m glad to see the poupou across the circle in the background is still standing tall — quite a wonderful and symbolic work of Maori art this is!
