Gorgeous colours. Robert says: March 29, 2013 at 11:55 pm I couldn’t help but to notice the external plumbing complete with a vent pipe too — this must be a very old place where they did not desire to cut large holes for sewerage lines when they installed indoor plumbing. Interesting indeed, and the Citroen of opposite colour to the exterior parked outside really adds to the pizazz look of the place! I knew that Akaroa was like a gold mine for photography, but here you found a real gem! Hilda says: March 30, 2013 at 1:03 am I feel like I’ve stepped out of time. The car and the house are just perfect together! MJ says: March 30, 2013 at 7:14 am That cute little car looks like something out of “The Jetsons” cartoon! Lynn says: April 1, 2013 at 6:55 am I love that cute car! I am not familiar with it, it must not have been sold in the US. It is the color of my first car, a Dodge Demon. Love green, love the photo! Alison says: April 1, 2013 at 10:59 pm Here’s some info about the car http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citroën_DS – an ID or DS (French puns on words for idea and goddess?) – It was sold in the US (from 1956-72) but didn’t really appeal. My French pen-pal’s dad had one – very nice to ride in. Funny to watch as the back end rose and fell when stopping.
