A Photo a Day of Christchurch New Zealand

Macrocarpa Tree by the Causeway

tree

The seawall and Coastal Pathway are currently being built along the causeway, and as you can see this tree looks to be in the way, but it is staying. Apparently it’s important for bird life in the area. The tree has been trimmed a little so it’s safe for cyclists and pedestrians. I’m rather glad it’s staying as it’s something of a landmark in the area.
