Snowdrops in Hagley Park is a sure sign that Spring is not far off. Now that I’ve said that I’ve probably summoned a cold southerly change and snow!

Autumn Colours in the Gardens

April 16, 2015

We had beautiful sunshine today and much warmer weather – so people were out and about in the Botanic Garden and Hagley Park. Love the Autumn colours and the water reflections this time of the year.

Christchurch really is such a pleasant and beautiful place to be on days like these.

Wildflowers in Hagley Park

October 26, 2014

Wildflowers in Hagley Park opposite the Botanic Gardens. I’ve never noticed these flowers before but I’m guessing they’ve been there for years based on how many there are there. I’m not sure what they are called. Whatever they are, they are lovely and I’m guessing they will cover a lot more of the park in a few year’s time.

View into Hagley Park from Riccarton Roundabout

May 8, 2014

I love the gates into Hagley Park – they are such a nice understated but classic entrance. I took this photo while standing on Riccarton Road by the roundabout there. While doing so I was able to watch some pretty senseless driving. People seem to lose all patience and moderation when going through that roundabout. Why it hasn’t been turned into lights yet is anyone’s guess. I know I certainly don’t enjoy navigating it!
