Flower by the Estuary
Wednesday, November 30th, 2011Not sure what kind of flower this is, it’s growing by the estuary in Ferrymead. It’s quite a cheerful plant though – it must be, it made me stop and photograph it!

This sign is in front of the Opawa Community Church. The church was damaged due to the earthquakes. So I guess the sign has rather a double meaning….Whenever I see the sign I imagine a long-haired Hollywood version of Jesus saying this with an Austrian accent!
For those of you who don’t know, Farmers re-opened at the Palms Shirley Mall and there is a rather good home-ware sale on at their upstairs department! Love the balloons.
