Spring in the Gardens

August 28, 2015

It was a bit nippy in the gardens today so very few people were there to enjoy the spring splendour that’s emerging right now. It might have been cold (I was regretting not wearing my hat) but it was peaceful and beautiful as usual and a great salve for sitting at a computer desk all day!

Spring has Sprung!

September 1, 2014

I went for a walk in the gardens / Hagley Park to take photos of the daffodils and noticed that my favourite blossom tree in the gardens is nearly in full bloom – making for a beautiful combination of blossom tree and daffodils. Spring is certainly here – though there is the lack of the very verdant green of mid-spring (things are still a little bare). Beautiful none-the-less.

You know it’s almost spring when the daffodils bloom! They are such a simple but perfect flower really! Snapped at the Daffodil Woodland in Hagley Park.

Blossom Trees in Hagley Park by Harper Ave

September 10, 2013

The blossom trees along Harper Avenue are in full bloom and looking so lovely. They border Hagley Park’s walkway and it’s a popular place for walkers, runners and cyclists. It’s certainly delightful walking underneath these trees on a warm spring day.

Across the road there are some lovely coloured daffodils flowering.
