About Christchurch
Christchurch is the largest city in New Zealand's South Island. It lies on the Canterbury Plains with views of the mountain range called the Southern Alps. Though flat the city also has hill suburbs nestled in what are called the 'Port Hills'. The total population is around 338,748. The city is well renowned for its many parks and gardens, including Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens.Archives

Our leaves are just coming on. Most are baby leaves now but there is a promise that they will fill out and become adults in a week or two. We love summer.
The autumn colours in New Zealand are just awesome!
