Alchemy Cafe Montreal St

The Alchemy cafe is inside the Christchurch Art Gallery.  It’s one of my favourite subjects to photograph thanks to the large amount of glass and steel.

It’s an impressive looking building. I was in Christchurch for only a couple of days and didn’t see this. And i didn’t know there was a Montreal St. Do you have any other streets named for Canadian Cities? Assuming that is what it’s named for.

The art gallery is in the arts precinct near the Arts Centre Market - it’s quite an imposing building. You know, it’s rather funny as I’ve never really thought about Montreal street being named after a Canadian city… I wonder if it was? I can’t think of any others. We do have a lot of English streets (Gloucester, Worcester etc.).
