Harry Ell Walkway, Victoria Park

The Harry Ell Walkway by Dyers Pass Road

We had another stunning day today and I really wanted to get out for a good walk. Many of my favourite walking spots in the hills are now closed as they are too dangerous due to potential rock fall hazards from boulders that have been destabilised due to the earthquakes. But luckily the walks around Victoria Park are open, so we ventured up the Harry Ell walkway ending up at the Sign of the Kiwi. The walk runs parallel to Dyers Pass Road and is a gentle but gradual climb. There are many good spots to stop and take in the stunning vistas of the city, the plains and the mountains.
